Notes of a Preacher
Theologians of past centuries were unable to explain many of the miracles described in the Bible, attributing them instead to the sovereign will of God. As a result, many people—both within and outside the church—have come to perceive the Bible (the Old and New Testaments) as a collection of legends, fairy tales, or ancient folklore. However, thanks to the scientific and technological advancements of the last century, the ancient texts of the Bible are revealing secrets recorded by eyewitnesses to the events described in these age-old Scriptures. In my book, I examine these ancient accounts through the lens of modern science. I explore the story of Joshuas "sun-standing" event, offer my own perspective on the fall of the walls of Jericho, address why—according to the creation narrative—plants appeared on the third day while the sun and moon emerged on the fourth, and much more. Happy reading!
