Morning. In the small town of R*****, everything is still quiet for now. When dusk falls, it's better not to leave the house... Even better to dress in a robe and hood to stay safe and sound. Because if you disobey... you might attract that wandering horror right into your home, to your loved ones. "Who is it?" you might ask. They are the most terrifying monsters in white robes and hoods, with teeth stained with blood and arm strength that even an experienced powerlifter would envy. Fortunately, there are good people who might protect you.

This isn't uncommon in the R***** district at all. Just a few years ago, they were all eliminated, but they've come back again. The police can't handle it. The civilian population is dwindling. Crime in the city streets has skyrocketed.

Marauders have appeared. There is good news too. People from other regions have arrived and started helping the police and special services. They founded a new movement called "Ourselves." Here's their slogan: "The police can't handle it. We'll do it OURSELVES!"

This movement organized raids on marauders and the wandering ones. They called these ghosts the "Wanderers." You might ask—how did they deal with the Wanderers? The answer is simple. Since this was also a problem back in the Middle Ages, the movement's members found a medieval manuscript somewhere, written by some peasant. The manuscript said that people fought them off with ordinary wooden crosses. When the government learned of the find, they immediately started production at almost all the city's factories. Now these crosses are the first essential item that any newcomer here must keep somewhere on them. Without one, you don't stand a chance of surviving even a minute.
