They couldn’t wait to see the acrobats, animals, and clowns. The circus sounded like a magical place. They started counting the days until the big event.

The day of the circus finally arrived. Lily and Lillian woke up early. They put on their favorite dresses. Their mom packed a picnic basket with snacks. Dad checked the tickets to make sure everything was ready. The girls were so excited they could hardly sit still. They held hands and skipped to the car.
