In January 1904, Archimandrite Benik, the former rector of the Shusha Armenian Seminary, was sent to the Urals, at the time of his expulsion, the Elisavetpol vicar and chairman of the Elisavetpol Armenian Spiritual Board. In February 1904, Archimandrite Sahak Baghdasaryan, a vicar of Alexandropol and a representative of the Alexandropol Spiritual Board, was "removed" from the Erivan province for participation in the illegal Armenian movement under police supervision for a period of five years. He arrived in Orenburg in March 1904. Ter-Sarkis Ter-Emanuelyants, a 68-year-old priest of the Armenian-Gregorian Church, was exiled to Orenburg region. He was exiled to Orenburg for two years in August 1904. It was only in January 1907 that the priest was able to return home. "Extremely harmful to public peace and public order" was Vasily Kevorkyants from the village of Sabatli in the Nukhinsky district of the Elisavetinsky province, who was held in a Metechs prison castle and sent to the Urals by stage. The name of the talented military commander Guy Dmitrievich Guy (real name and surname – Gaik Bzhishkyan) also remains forever in the memory of Orenburg residents. At the end of November 1918, G.D. Guy, on the recommendation of M.N. Tukhachevsky, was appointed commander of the 1st Revolutionary Army. Overcoming the difficulties of the harsh winter, units of the 1st Army took part in the defeat of the Dutov troops and stormed Orenburg on January 22, 1919. However, in the spring of 1919, there was a real threat of the complete encirclement of Orenburg. The defense of Orenburg was entrusted to the 1st Army by the commander of the Southern Group of Troops of the Eastern Front, M.V. Frunze. The Army of G.D. Gaya defended the city, held the Orenburg bridgehead and thereby helped the Buzuluk group liberate Ufa. Guy was awarded the Order of the Red Banner. The baton of heroism, courage, and bravery was taken by graduates of Orenburg military schools during the Great Patriotic War. One of them, Ashot Dzhumshutovich Kasparov, whose combat activity as an airplane navigator began from the first days of the war, flew the plane 222 times on long-range night sorties, bombing various enemy targets. In addition, he made 76 sorties to the partisans, delivered 91 tons of ammunition, weapons, medicines to them, and took out more than 240 wounded and children from the partisan detachments. The name of Alexander Arkadyevich Kazaryan, a pupil of the Orenburg Aviation School, is widely known outside Russia. On August 22, 1944, by order of the French Resistance Command, the first Soviet partisan regiment was formed, commanded by officer Alexander Kazaryan. A graduate of the Orenburg Flight School, Lieutenant M.K., was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Nagulyan is from the 593rd Assault Aviation Regiment.

During the Great Patriotic War, the entire staff of the 1st Kharkov Medical Institute arrived in Orenburg. The 1st Kharkiv Medical Institute was headed by Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences Ashot Mikhailovich Gasparyan. He was born in Baku in June 1902. In 1921-1923, A. Gasparyan, a student at Baku State University, simultaneously worked as an inspector at the Baku Workers' and Peasants' Inspectorate for the Oil Industry. In 1924-1926, he continued his studies at the Second Moscow State University. At the same time, he holds the position of "political educator" in the Union of Medical Workers. A.M. Gasparyan worked at the Moscow Urological Clinic, taught at the First Moscow Medical Institute. In 1937, he was appointed director of the Kharkov Medical Institute, where he also headed the Department of Urology. A.M. Gasparyan defended his doctoral thesis in 1940.

For almost four years, the Kharkiv Medical Institute has been working in Orenburg. Rector A.M. Gasparyan focused on the educational and scientific activities of students and teaching staff, in addition, he personally provided great assistance to Orenburg hospitals, was the "head consultant" of hospital No. 1308.

In the 50s and 60s, Professor K.A. Hakobyan stood out among agricultural scientists. In October 1937, K.A. Hakobyan was sent to the Orenburg Scientific Research Institute of Meat and Dairy Cattle Breeding, where he worked as deputy director for research, and since 1958 – at the Orenburg Agricultural Institute, where he was elected head of the Department of large livestock. He defended his doctoral thesis in 1956, and the following year received the title of professor. K.A. Hakobyan's scientific interests are extensive and diverse. But the main ones among them are in the field of theory and practice of creation and development of beef cattle breeding. He took an active part in the breeding of a new domestic breed of beef cattle – the Kazakh white-headed, for which he and a group of other participants in 1950 were awarded the title of laureate of the State Prize of the first degree. K.A. Hakobyan published over 70 scientific papers. Two doctoral and 18 PhD theses were prepared and defended under his supervision.
