Chapter 1. LIFE INACAGE

Hello, dear reader! My name is Filimon, Iam aYorkshire Terrier and Moms Yorkie paw-son. This book tells about my travels and adventures. There are so many ofthem that one day Ithought: why not write astory for my friends? Iasked my Mom for alaptop on my birthday and started working. Any dog my age can read and write, order snacks from an online store and look for reviews about vets. Do you want toknow my story? It will be very fun and interesting!

Iwas born in2018, inabig friendly dog family. Ihad aYorkie Mom, aYorkie Dad and aYorkie paw-brother named Styopa. We lived inalarge and warm cage. There Ilearned everything areal dog should be able todo: hunt, chase cats, bring astick, run tothe food bowl faster than anyone else, and hide my toys. My brother and Ireally wanted toget out ofthe cage and run around the house like adults, go outside with the cats and dig inthe trash, but my Mom didnt allow it and said that we were still little. Iwas dreaming togrow up quickly, become independent, and be friends with big dogs. One morning Iwoke up and saw that my brother Styopa was not inthe cage. Isniffed everything, called him, but he didnt answer me. Iwaited and was very worried, and the next day Ireceived aletter fromhim.

Chapter 2. LETTER FROM STYOPA

Dear Filya! Dont worry, Im fine. Iwas taken toahuman family. They love me here, feed me well and buy toys, let me run around the house and hide bones. Ihave my own warm bed and lots ofnice clothes. Someone will definitely buy you soon. Thats it, bye! Stay intouch.

Hmm. What do you mean bought? Doesnt it hurt? When they buy you, do they take you away from your Mom and Dad? Does that mean Im not their real paw-son? Idont get it. Ineed tofigure this out. All day long Iwas thinking about my brother Styopa and how he was bought, and fell asleep.

Inthe morning Iwoke up because Moydodyr[2 - Moydodyr is acartoon character. It comes toboys and girls who do not like tobath.] came tome! He made me bathe and comb my hair. Ofcourse, Iprotested, but there was nowhere togo. Mom said that Iam very handsome now and very expensive. Do Icost alot ofmoney? For some reason, Ialways thought that all dogs are completely free.

On Christmas Eve, asurprise awaitedme.

It was cold and snowing outside, the house smelled offood, and there was aChristmas tree. Suddenly there was aknock on the door. Just incase, Ihid inthe corner. Yourkie Mom ran up, wagging her tail, and said that they had come for me. Iwas very scared! Where would they take me? Tothe vet? Would they look at my butt and clean my ears? It turned out that they had also BOUGHT me, like my brother Styopa. They paid alot ofmoney for me and said: Baby, lets go home. Where do you mean home? Iwas already at home. They wrapped me inawarm blanket and drove me bycar somewhere. Iwas shaking and whining and really wanted towrite toStyopa and complain tohim. Then Iwarmed up and fell asleep.

We arrived. They sat me down on the bed and said that Iwas now the owner here and would guard the house. Idont know how toguard. Its very scary.

Thats how Iended up inahuman family.

Chapter 3. MYBOWL

Iwont hide the fact that Ilove toeat. When my Mom took me from the dog family, she immediately bought me abowl and said that now Iwas areal Yorkie and should guard my property. Iwas very small and did not quite understand what guard meant. So Itook the bowl, carried it inmy teeth, played with it, and when Ifelt hungry, Iwent tomy Mom and asked for food from the human table. She did not give me anything and said that Yorkies need different food and Ishould eat from my bowl only. For Mom are pancakes with jam, sausage, cakes, and for me dog food? She doesnt love me at all and does not consider me her own Yorkie-son? Why is there such injustice? Iwas offended and did not go tomy bowl, demanded snacks from the human table and torespect my dog rights.

One day, my Mom was not at home all day and Iwas very hungry. Iran up tothe bowl and started barking at it togive me food. But it was silent. Ihit it with my paws, growled, gnawed at it with my teeth, but it didnt help. When my Mom came back, Icried and complained that this nasty plate didnt listen tome. And then she explained tome where food comes from. It turns out that it doesnt appear on its own. First, you have toearn money, buy it inthe store, bring it home and cook it. I, apurebred dog, should work?? What news! When we went for awalk, Iasked my street paw-friends where they get their food. They answered that they guard the yards and cars from thieves, and they get fed up with it. We returned home and my Mom said that Idont need towork on the street, but Ihave tobe obedient and not be capricious, keep the house inorder and train the robot vacuum cleaner tobehave well and thoroughly clean the apartment. For this, she will put food inmy bowl. Ialso need tobe generous and share the meat bones with my friends. We will collect them inabag and give them during awalk. The bowl and leash, clothes, toys this is my property, which will be passed on tomy younger Yorkie -brother when Igrow up. This is how Ibecame arealdog.

Bully is my best friend who is always with me. It lives inmy room, sleeps next tome and eats the treats from the human table that Ibring him. We play every day and travel together. One day it got lost. Isearched the house, sniffed all the things and secluded places, ran tothe bathroom (sometimes it bathes inthe washing machine), but it was nowhere tobe found. Iwas very upset and decided that Ineeded tocall the police

WIU! WIU! WIU!WIU!

The Police officer came and said that there was some kind ofMESS inmy room. Do you know who it is and where it came from? Is it dangerous? What if it bites and doesnt have arabies vaccination? Ithink we need tostrengthen security and place aregiment oftoy soldiers at the entrance.

The Policeman neatly folded all my toys, and Bully was immediately found! Iwas so happy! Iwas given afine for MESS and told that Ineeded toorder abasket for all my friends so that no one would get lost. Did MESS come toyou? Did you defeatit?

Iwas chatting here with you for along time. Need torun and place an order on the Internet shop. Now everything will be alright.

Chapter 5. LADY GROOMER

Agroomer is ahairdresser for pets. My friends and Igo tosee her tobe beautiful. When Iwas little, Iwas very afraid ofher. Mom brought me tothe office and left me alone with stranger lady for 2hours. Itrembled and whined, looked at the door: what if no one comes back for me? Iwas bathed, cut and combed, but the worst thing was drying with ahairdryer, which made avery loud noise. Ibit and barked: Why do Ineed agroomer? Im already clean! Every time my Mom came for me and gave me snacks, my groomer praised me for my good behavior. And Irealized that there is no need tobe afraid. After all, at home inthe bathroom Moidodyr[3 - Moydodyr is acartoon character. It comes toboys and girls who do not like tobath.] comes tome when Iget dirty on awalk, and its not scary atall.

One day, my Mom and Icame tothe groomer and saw apoodle friend who had never bathed before. He was very afraid tocut his nails and screamed loudly throughout the hallway. Lady groomer washed him for along time, cut him and combed him, this hurt him alot because his fur was tangled. When he ran out ofthe office, he told me that he would never miss ahaircut and bath anymore. He became so soft and fluffy! And received an invitation tothe dogs exhibition and took aprize. After that, Ialso stopped being afraid ofthe lady groomer and loved bathing. After ahaircut, my Mom and Ialways go for awalk and acafe. And all passers-by say that Im very fashionable and handsome.

Chapter 6. MARKET

Ilove shopping and Ialways wait tobe taken tothe store. You can meet friends there and smell everything they have intheir carts. What if something tasty? One day my Mom and Iwent tothe market. This is the kind ofplace where they give try the food (not for me, but for my Mom). When we went tothe meat pavilion tobuy beef for me, Iwanted asmall piece, but my Mom didnt allow it. What ascandal Icreated there! Istomped my paws, squealed and was capricious (my paw-friends advised me todo this, then they will definitely give me something). But Mom only gave me ahit on the butt. She said she would never take me tothe market with her because ofsome kind ofSHAME on the whole city.

Iwas offended and didnt eat my bowl, didnt play with Bully and didnt talk tomy Mom. Idecided toleave home and stay inthe market there is so much delicious food there! Let her look for me everywhere andcry!

The next time Iasked my Mom togo tothe market again. Ipromised toobey. All the sellers said: What agood boy! Quiet and calm! Do you want sausage? Try cheese! Oh, he likes it, look! He even eats cottage cheese! How much Iate thatday!

Now all the sellers at the market know me and shout: Filya! Come tous! Well give you asnack! What fashionable jeans you wear!

If you want toget snacks, you need tobe an obedient, well-mannered dog. And they will give you everything themselves. Iwas trying tobecome well-mannered and Isucceeded.

Chapter 7. MY RELATIVES

Animals, like people, always have some distant relatives. Ihave them too: Yorkie-brother Martin, Yorkie-cat Jerry and Yorkie-female cat Busya.

Relatives are not friends. Sometimes you need tovisit them and congratulate them on their birthday, but you dont have tobe friends with them and you cant tell any secrets: for example, where Mom is hiding meat sticks from me or which boyfriend the neighbor cat Mulya kicked out from the windowsill yesterday. Martin thinks he is the most important one, even though Iwas born first, so he takes all my toys and snacks. Idont share anything and consider him acunning little scammer. Jerry says that purebred cats shouldnt communicate with dogs its indecent. He buries my food and walks past me with contempt ignoresme.

Busya was brought from the street. She was rescued when she froze inwinter. And the streets have their own life laws: whoever stole food first, ate. Thats why she steals from all the bowls besides her own, and tries toget comfortable insomeone elses soft bed. Inmy opinion, she doesnt even know how todistinguish dogs from cats.

When one ofus has abirthday party, we get together and congratulate each other. Sometimes we play together, sometimes we fight whatever happens.

But its still good that Ihave them and they know which ofus is the most beloved. Ofcourse itsme!
